Staking That Rewards Time, Not Just Timing

Staking and unstaking in the GBM Protocol are instant, with no bonding or unbonding delays. Your share of any governance-approved reward distribution is based on your total staking score, which combines two factors:

⏳ 1. Accumulated Score

This is earned every second your tokens are staked. The longer you stay staked, the more points you build.

• Unstaking stops your score from growing

• But your accumulated points remain intact

Formula: Accumulated Score = Time staked × Tokens staked

Example: You stake 100 tokens for 30 days: → 30 days × 24 hrs × 60 mins × 60 secs × 100 tokens = 259,200,000 points

⚡ 2. Instant Score

This is a bonus score awarded at the end of a distribution period (initially set to 90 days). It rewards those still staked at the final snapshot — even if they joined late.

Formula: Time since period started × Tokens staked ÷ Stake Coefficient

Example: You stake 100 $GBM tokens, the period has already run 60 days, and the Stake Coefficient is 2: → (60 × 100) ÷ 2 = 3,000 points

The Stake Coefficient starts at 2, but can be updated by a governance vote in the future.

🧮 Total Score

Your Total Score determines your proportional share of the rewards pool.

Formula: Total Score = Accumulated Score + Instant Score

• Long-term stakers build higher scores

• Late joiners still receive fair credit

• Unstaking early stops score growth, but does not erase what you’ve earned
