# The GBM Auction Festival
In the lead-up to the Initial Distribution Auction (IDA) and the official launch of the GBM Protocol, we hosted the **GBM Auction Festival** - a curated series of live auctions, events and competitions in collaboration with new and existing partners.
The Auction Festival ran for 6 months, with thousands of people participating.
